will inform us by showing red or green underlines on a word or sentences.
Is English difficult?
The
answer depends on your own perception. For me, because I like learning
English, I don't think that this international language is difficult.
Yes, there were times when I got confused with grammar, vocabularies and
pronunciation. That's some of the challenges that I faced during my
early years in learning English. I still make grammatical mistakes
therefore, I keep on studying English.
How to
Improve your English Pronunciation Skill
Pronunciation is one of
the most important aspects one has to master when learning English. The
pronunciation system of English words is unique. That is the reason why
many people say that the pronunciation of English language is difficult.
The way we pronounce English words depends on how the words are heard in
our ears. Therefore, it is important to listen to the right
pronunciation of English language.
There are several
effective ways which we can do to master the pronunciation of English
language properly. I will describe some of them below:
English as
second or foreign language
English
is an international language
that is taught in schools around the world. The increasing use of
English makes this language getting deeper roots in every society.
In
countries such as India, Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong and Pakistan,
English is used as second language. These countries and many other
countries in Africa and North America used to be under the British
rules. People in those countries are used to
speaking English.
They don’t find any difficulties in conversing in English even though
the British government have left the countries tens of years ago.
Vitamins D and the Diet
Studies in recent years
have found that vitamin D may do more to
keep people healthy than just build strong
bones. But how much is enough, and how much
is too much?
Vitamin D helps bones and muscles grow
strong and healthy. Low levels of vitamin D
can lead to problems like rickets and
osteoporosis. Rickets is a deformity mainly
found in children. Osteoporosis is the
thinning of bone, a common problem as
people, especially women, get older.
Studies in recent years have suggested that
vitamin D may also have other uses. Studies
have shown that low levels of D may increase
the risk of heart attacks in men and deaths
from some cancers. Other studies have shown
that people with rheumatic diseases often
have low levels of D.
Findings Raise Hopes
for Progress on AIDS Vaccine
Scientists say
the risk of H.I.V. infection was
reduced by almost one-third in a big
study in Thailand.
AIDS researchers say they still have much
work to do on a vaccine against H.I.V. But
the first reports of some success have
raised hopes. Scientists say an experimental
vaccine reduced the risk of infection in
humans by thirty-one percent and was safe.
The study was designed to test for two
abilities. One was the ability of the
vaccine to prevent H.I.V. infections. The
other was its ability to reduce the amount
of virus in the blood of people who became
infected during the study.
For Health of Young People, a
Mixed Picture
Deaths in children
under 5 continued to drop last year. But a
study calls attention to the great number of
preventable deaths in young people age 10 to
24.
UNICEF says the death rate for children
under the age of five has fallen
twenty-eight percent since nineteen ninety.
Experts credit the drop to improvements in
public health measures. These include
vaccination campaigns and the use of bed
nets chemically treated to kill mosquitoes
that spread malaria.
Still, Brian Hansford at the United Nations
Children's Fund says more work remains.

Getting
Out of Credit Card Debt
There are many reasons why people are
trapped in the credit card debt. Some are
good but many are bad. Do you buy with
Credit Card luxurious things that you
actually cannot afford? Do you often use
credit card as your way to overcome
unexpected expenses?
Debt
is bad if it causes stress. You cannot sleep
well at night. Debts cause commotion in your
household and even divorce. You create bad
debts when you buy things that you really
don’t need or you buy things that quickly
disappear. For instance, you take a vacation
to a famous tourist destination in a
tropical island.
