The
English
grammar exercises that we provide in this Englishland's
website have been prepared to help students study the rules of
grammar from basic levels up to intermediate and advanced levels
(see some grammar quizzes at
TOEIC Preparation
page). Before answering the questions in every lesson that you
can find in this website, we suggest that you study or read
topics that are relevant to the English exercises. Besides
reading English Grammar in Use by Raymond Murphy, you can find
such references as
Focus on Grammar series published by Longman as complete
textbooks for understanding these complicated topics of English
language.
Grammar quiz is given in most of the pages of Focus on Grammar.
You might feel that learning grammar lessons through textbooks
is boring and intimidating due to the lack of interactivity
between you as a learner and the books that you are reading.
Although the grammar online materials that we present in this
website are quite interactive at least in giving immediate
results, textbooks are still important learning materials that
contain complete English lessons that English learners need to
study to master this international language.
We all know that it is not easy to master a language without
knowing the patterns or rules that form the language. So, in
order to communicate effectively and correctly both in spoken
and written English language, all of us must not ignore grammar.
Therefore, we encourage students to invest time (to study) and
money (in buying learning materials) if they are really serious
in mastering a language. Buying such dictionaries as
Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary and
Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English will help you
understand a lot of new words and phrases with their
applications in every situation of communication too. We also
recommend students to read as many books, magazines, newspapers
as possible to enrich their knowledge and
reading comprehension
of English vocabularies. Watching news and films on television
will further help English learners improve their skills. The
online grammar web-pages that we provide here should be
considered as basic materials and not the main learning resource
that you must refer to. We try our best by adding more lessons
every week to help you achieve your goals in mastering English.
