Agnes | Hi Gabby, have you decided your travel destination this summer? | ||
| Gabriela | Yes, I have. I want to go to Canada. | |||
| Agnes | Wow, that's great. But it is a big country isn't it? | |||
| Gabriela | Yes, it is. I don't know which city I will be visiting next July. | |||
| Agnes | How about Vancouver? I heard that it is a nice city in the west of the country. | |||
| Gabriela | I know. I have a friend there. Her name is Laura. We went to high school together. But I don't think she still remembers me. | |||
| Agnes | She does. She can be your guide if you visit Vancouver Canada. | |||
| Gabriela | But I have always wanted to go to Quebec. | |||
| Agnes | That would be nice too. Do you speak French? | |||
| Gabriela | Me? No, I don't. Why? | |||
| Agnes | If you speak or understand some French, then traveling in Montreal or Quebec city will be easier. Most people speak French there. | |||
| Gabriela | But I think that they can understand English too. | |||
| Agnes | Of course a lot of people speak English in Quebec but if you can speak French, traveling in Montreal city is highly recommended. | |||
| Gabriela | Have you been there? | |||
| Agnes | Yes, once. I went there two years ago with a friend of mine. I couldn't speak French but my friend could. He became an interpreter for me. Without him, my vacation in Quebec will be more difficult. I didn't speak any French words. After returning from a two-week tour in Montreal, I was able to speak at least 100 French words. I am now studying French in my free time. | |||
| Gabriela | If I decide to fly to Montreal, which part of the city will you recommend to me? | |||
| Agnes | I would recommend Pointe-à-Callière Archeological Museum. Another place that I like is Vieux-Port. It was a busy harbor. You can explore it by riding bicycle. And finally, I have to say that Musée d’Art Contemporain is a must see place for all tourists who want to go to Montreal Canada. | |||
| Gabriela | Thanks for your advice, Agnes. How about if you travel with me? | |||
| Agnes | Me? Traveling with you to Canada? Oh, I wish I could. But I have decided to go to Dallas Texas this summer. | |||
| Gabriela | Is Dallas an interesting tourist destination in America? | |||
| Agnes | I don't know. I haven't been there before. I only heard that the Arts District of Dallas is a nice place for tourists especially at nights. We can share our experience when we have returned from our summer holiday. |
