Manokwari and The Magnificent Views of Papua's Nature
Manokwari is the capital town of Papua Barat province. A small yet a beautiful town, Manokwari has various tourism potentials which can attract a lot of domestic and foreign tourists. Situated along the Dorey bay, this town offers various tourist attractions from the forest to the islands and from the mountain to the bottom of the sea where coral reef and shipwrecks are awaiting for scuba divers to come and explore them. Tropical rainforest of Papua is an ideal place for travelers who love to enjoy the beauty of the wild life and the fresh air the green vegetation produce every day.
It is not difficult to fly to Manokwari town, the capital of Papua Barat Province of the Republic of Indonesia. From Jakarta, the capital of the country, you can choose one of the national airlines such as Batavia Air, Merpati Nusantara Airlines, Express Air or Wings Air. Check the ticket price at the website of each airline. The flight from Jakarta to Manokwari is around 3 to 4 hours depending on whether the airplane stops at several transit airports or not.
