Test of English for International Communication
TOEIC® stands for the Test of
English for International Communication. The test is designed to measure one's
communication proficiency in the global workplace. English is increasingly used
in various countries around the world. The questions in the TOEIC test are
adapted to many different settings and situations, such as: general business,
manufacturing, finance, corporate development, offices, personnel, purchasing,
technical areas, housing, travel, dining out, entertainment and health.
The TOEIC® test was designed to
meet the needs of the working world. The test questions are
developed from samples of spoken and written language
collected from various countries around the world where
English is used in the workplace. The TOEIC® test is the world’s

After taking the TOEIC exercises above, we hope that you will be more
prepared in taking the TOEIC test. At least, you are now more familiar with
the test patterns. The use of English is not only limited to workplace
alone. In a more integrated society like what we have experienced right now,
the use of English can be seen in almost all sectors of our life. From
business to finance and from health to education. So, we suggest that you
study English not only to get higher score in the TOEIC or TOEFL test but to
be able to speak the language fluently. It might be difficult for the first
time if you are not used to speaking it every day but if you are serious in
mastering English, you have to speak this international language every day.
Whether you are at work, in the library or at home, don't forget to use
English as much as possible. If there is no one at home whom you can
practice your English with, you can provide some time reading
English news or novels
or even watching English movies.
