This beautiful girl with long hair was smiling. The drawing shows how her face looks red because of the reflection from her red shirt. I used Derwent Watercolor Pencils to make it. Everybody who wants to master portrait drawing must know the sketching and coloring techniques. The above drawing is a typical beautiful Indonesian girl which you may see when traveling to Indonesia. Similar to my other sketch of a beautiful girl, this girl was also smiling. The strokes of colors on her face make the drawing look three dimensional rather than just an ordinary 2D drawing. Every beginning artist feels nervous when trying to make figure or portrait drawing. By practice sketching regularly, she or he can improve her skill in creating an artwork that look beautiful.

Beautiful girls and ladies will always become favorite subjects in portrait drawing and painting. All artists who want to make artworks from models need a lot of sketching practice before they can master their skills in art drawing and paintings. There are a lot of instructional books on figure drawing available in the bookstores. I personally have one that I bought a few years ago. I still read it over and over again to refresh my mind on the basic techniques in drawing human figures. If I have free time, I will make another drawing of a beautiful girl and present it on this website again.
