A job seeker usually writes an application letter to a company after reading an advertisement in a newspaper or magazine. He will apply for the position that is offered by the advertiser. Please, note that the letter should be enclosed with other necessary documents such as resume or curriculum vitae and transcript of grades of the applicants' latest educational background. You can see at the following application letter that the position is mentioned by the applicant after the greetings.

I have seen your advertisement in Bali Business Daily and I should like to apply for this position.

I am at present working as the manager of public relation of Kasogi Shoe Company in Tomohon. I joind this company in 2005 as a sales assistant, and after two years became a traveling sales representative in South Sulawesi. I then became the assistant to the production manager and have been the production manager since 2008. We specialize in the manufacture of high quality sport shoes for youth, but we do also make a mass produced line which sells widely all over Indonesia and the Philipines.

I am married with two children and my salary at present is 4.5 million rupiahs. I am anxious to gain experience of the shoe manufacturing industry outside of Sulawesi and would be prepared to live in Bekasi or Jakarta to bring my family up in Java. I could come over, at my own expense, for an interview during my holiday which begins next month on first of May.
