Dirt Jump Bike

I ordered two mountain bikes from Surabaya city last November 2011. They
arrived in December, The first one was Celine 3.0 - a mountain bike for woman
and the second one was Cozmic D.X. 2.0 -a dirt jump bike. The bicycles were
manufactured by Polygon - an Indonesian company whose base is in Sidoarjo. As a
matter of fact, what I wanted to buy was Cozmic CX 2.0. - a cross country bike
but my relative sent me the D.X. 2.0 - a dirt jump one. This Cozmic 2.0 has
strong frame made of Aluminum compound. Its frame colors are combination of
white, light green with additional black of front and rear fenders. Riding
bicycle has not become a favorite sport among city dwellers in Manokwari. I
expect that by riding bicycle in the afternoons, I can attract more people to
ride bicycles.
I don't recommend dirt jump bicycles for people who only want to ride for traveling around the city or the sub-urban areas. They can buy cheaper bikes for road cycling or cross country tour. Cycling is good for our environment and is a type of vehicle that does not require a lot of money for maintenance. Because Manokwari city is located in mountainous region, the most recommended bike is mountain bike. In general, mountain bikes are equipped with rear and front gears to help riders climb steep slope. The Polygon Cozmic D.X. 2.0 is heavier than the Celine 3.0. If I go cycling along the road to Abasi beach, I ride the Cozmic D.X 2.0. However, if my friends ask me to do cross country tour, I will use the Celine 3.0. It is light and it has got 9 rear gear cassettes and 3 front cassettes.
Dirt jump mountain bikes are made for active young adults who are interested in acrobatic jump sports using bicycles. Users of this kind of bicycles for former bmx bikers. BMX bicycles were specifically designed for teenagers that are not satisfied with ordinary road bicycles. Because dirt jump bikes are not used to climb high hills and mountains, they are not equipped with 27 speeds. Many of them have 12 or 18 speeds. All dirt jump bikers must wear helmets when performing extreme jumps. Among other types of mountain biking, dirt jump biking is one of the most dangerous one. If we visit a bike shop, we will see that dirt jump bikes are not equipped with lamps, fenders and GPS device.
