Englishland as the name or this website is an online English learning resources for beginning level learners. We use the name Englishland to help internet users recognize this website easily. Because English is an international language, it is needed by a lot of people from around the world. Unfortunately, people who learn English in such countries as Indonesia, East Timor, China or India do not always have the opportunity to meet native speakers of English. To narrow this gap, we try to provide learning materials that have been adapted to the needs of learners in such countries. Because our base is in Indonesia, most of our explanations are given in Bahasa Indonesia language.

We do understand that people from other countries also open this website. Therefore, we try to provide more grammar explanation in plain English. We encourage learners to study from the beginning levels before they decide to continue to more advanced levels. Staff of Englishland will work harder to provide high quality learning materials. Sample of conversations have been emphasized on daily situations such as asking for the time, directions or buying tickets.

Besides providing easy to learn lessons in such categories  as grammar, general English, conversations , we regularly add reading comprehension lessons on various topics ranging from health to ecotourism. Englishland is not an online English course institution that provides certification. We only provide learning materials that are needed by people like you who try to study English for the first time. We understand that a lot of people who come to this website expect certification upon the completion of the lessons that they have studied in this Englishland's website but we just cannot provide the certificates due to huge number of people who request certificates every month.

If you need a proficiency test, we suggest that you take an official TOEIC test in a number of test centers in big cities in your country. You can use Englishland website to prepare yourself before taking the test. The TOEIC exercises that you find in this online learning resources will help you improve your score. The quiz that you face during the official test will not be the same as the exercises or test samples that you study in this website but we believe that if you can answer the samples well, you have taken a positive step to have better score in your test.

The online General English course program that learners study from Englishland is for basic level. We have not been able to provide intermediate and advanced levels. If you need more difficult materials, we suggest that you find paid websites that provide online English course for intermediate and advanced levels with instructors who are native speakers.
