“At first, I only accompanied my sister, but later I became interested in meditation. Finally, I joined this meditation exercises,” Maudy said.

Maudy Kusnadi has been practicing meditation. But she explained that it is difficult to meditate from around forty-five minutes up to one hour. "I often do the first procedure by focusing on controlling my respiration. This is one of the ways to reach good concentration," she added. Because she doesn’t have a lot of free time, she takes time practicing meditation for ten minutes wherever she is.

Sometimes she does it in her car. “If I cannot do it when I wake up, I will meditate before I go to bed,” she explained. Although Maudy Kusnadi can  only reach this stage, she says that she can feel peace in her mind and her heart.

The most important benefit of meditation is that she can face every situation positively. This is important for a busy woman like her. “It is important to watch our mind and feeling because they influence the metabolism of our body,” she said. If someone always feels stress, his or her physical health will also be influenced,” Maudy added. Maudy Koesnadi likes drinking fresh water and jogging.

In big city, people often feel stressed and over-burdened with their routine jobs. The surrounding pollution and traffic jams that we face everyday worsen our psychological and physical conditions. When we are tired or stressed, we tend to be unhappy, impatient and frustrated. These are general symptoms that are not good for our health. By doing a simple 15 to 20 minute breathing meditation, we will be able to reset our mind to be calmer and more focused. Perhaps, when we do meditation for the first time, we might feel that it does not change anything. Don't worry. Meditation is also a process which we need to face in order to transform our mind from negative zone to positive zone. When we have been in the positive zone, we will be able to build constructive thoughts are necessary for improving our work performances and health conditions.
